I must say, as a long-time fan of VLC I am really disappointed. It may be able to play all and each formats but the GUI is crappy. Simple questions seem not to have occured to the GUI designers here, like
- why does it make sense to force the user to either watch a movie OR see his playlist? Why can't I sort my playlist while watching a movie?
- Why implement the crappy Lion fullscreen mode? It kills functionality of a second monitor instantly (no more chatting while watching or the like) and takes way longer to zoom to full screen.
- Why do the fonts have to be updated and everything is stuck — for like a minute even with an SSD and on a 8core Mac Pro?
I am really happy with the colorful icons …
I only give it 4.5 though because the direct download link is broken, the website is in japanese only (though the "letters" are beautiful!) and a SIMBL plugin install is not a cool user experience.
This is simply the best eLearning application I have ever seen. The learning curve is going up so quickly and the makers have done a very good job to ease the pain of rehearsing thru very positive motivating text. A perfect learning environment which is tailor-made for the very user.
Very nice work by June! Wait for v0.11b, it will habe significant changes. Why isn't 10b posted here? It's downloadable from the website since a week …
Worked great before the (nice) redesign. Since then it only kills all contents on my S/e K750i / W800 but won't copy ANYTHING on to it. I also get strange errors. Unusable since then. Too bad.
THRUPP does this w/o problems but costs a lot and is no syncing tool.
