iKey is kind of good in that it does let you create keyboard shortcuts and macros.
But the interface lacks intelligence. There is no unifying philosphy behind the the methods, and the terminology used in the app is obtuse and sometimes confusing.
Support for this app is extremely poor, the developers do not respond to support forum posts in a timely manner, and in this latest release is appears that they did not test the app to see if it still worked on the supported Mac OS releases.

In my case, Quickeys crashes periodically on 10.7.x, rendering it useless.

Over the past several years Quickeys has lost functionality, speed and ease of use, as other programs advance.
The company is almost completely silent regarding Mac OS Lion, your money is better spent elsewhere, Keyboard Maestro, for example.
I am a paying, registered Quickeys user.

It looks professional. Keyboard Maestro supports the following:
Shortcut available only in applications
Shortcut available in all applications applications except for
Recording Macros
Neither of these are available in iKey.
Keyboard Maestro is being continuously developed.
