I have a suggestion regarding the new progress bar feature.
How about adopt this design?

It is intuitive and also go great together with OS X's default UI.

It shows an album art while no song is being played.
To tell the details, when I stop the music, the album art disappears and changes to iTunes icon. It seems normal so far.
Then, however, within a minute the album art I played last suddenly comes back (without dissolve effect.)
My iMac runs OS X Lion 10.7 and iTunes 10.4 with no other plug-in than DockArt.

Dock Art needs to be updated to 64-bit.
