I've been using Transmission since the very beginning. Great download speeds that are equal to or better than other torrent clients. Nice to see the app finally available for different platforms.
I had been looking for a word processor to replace the bloated, lethargic OpenOffice/LibreOffice for a while now and think I finally found one. Slick interface, quick load time and doesn't hog up all my computer resources while it's running. And the best part, it's free.
Can we please have a normal monitor in the mac menu bar instead of this black hand? It's the only issue preventing me from making the full switch over to Hands Off.
I've used MacJournal off and on for a while and consider it probably the best journal program available for the mac platform.
For aspiring writers, script writing, novel writing you really can't go wrong. Comes with audio capture, a WriteRoom styled full screen option, the ability to encrypt documents...also has an option to add pictures and songs from iTunes.
So far, it works with every program I've tried on my computer, native or otherwise.
Useful if you don't want unnecessary program windows being left open all over the place. I like using the command Q option to shut down an app but since switching to OS X, I miss being able to simply hit the red button to close an application.
RedQuits solves this dilemma I've had for years on my macbook.
Great to see quicksilver finally being updated again. Easily the best launch utility ever and one of my top 5 favorite programs personally, maybe number one.
The options for this thing are limitless and I'm always finding new ways to use QS that I didn't even think were possible. Will make a donation as an appreciation for the service.
I've been using You Control Tunes for about a month now and I like it enough to write a quick review. The registration only takes a minute to fill out and doesn't intrude on your privacy. For the paranoid user still concerned about this issue, block the program with Little Snitch.
YCT is a timesaver app. Designed so you don't have to switch back and forth between open programs and iTunes every time you want to change or pause a song. It sits on the right side of the desktop menu bar and has a drop down arrow with hotkeys and customizations. Hasn't crashed yet and is a free download.
More that an equalizer. Loaded with features, you notice a difference in speaker quality the minute this program is installed on your computer. Highly customizable allowing for all kinds of sound configurations. Recommended,
For unknown reasons, Bootcamp support & VMware tools needed to be reinstalled when my partition was cloned from the main hard drive to secondary.
After running Winclone and copying Bootcamp partition, it took two restarts for the operating system to fully recognized Windows - CHKDSK cycled through a couple times. The right mouse button wouldn't work initially until the support software off Snow Leopard was reinstalled.
To anyone looking to use this program, I highly recommended downloading the CNET link user Tempel provided in an earlier post (many of the others download links were incompatible with my version of OS X; 10.6.5)
I've been trying to create a clone of my BootCamp partition for a while now and Winclone just won't do it.
Every time I attempt to create an image, the program finishes in like 4 seconds and gives a blue screen like error of death in the message log. I've tried switching options under, "When cloning an NTFS partition" in preferences and it still won't go.
Is there like a combination of boxes I need to check in preferences to get this application to operate correctly? Has anyone else had similar issues?
Would appreciate any feedback as it's an application I would like to use...

"Uninstall selected objects? Are you sure you would like to uninstall the selected objects? Selected objects cannot be restored"
The same way Apple allows you to disable this trash warning in Finder preferences, it'd be nice to have it for CleanMyMac. TY
