Skyscraper

Kymm reviewed on 14 Mar 2010
Well, it works... you want a fully rendered 3D skyscraper? You get one. I see now why the elevator system is essential to the building.

However, lots of things did not work for me. I could get the elevator doors open by clicking on them, but the cars never moved and the buttons did not light up. Flying/floating did not work either. So I had to go up stairs, around and around, that was annoying... other than that it was well rendered with nice textures and fun to fall down inside an elevator shaft and look around (not). I think it needs lots more work.

Album Art For The Rest of Us

Kymm reviewed on 29 Jan 2007
Wow, I wish I had found this before 'upgrading' to Tiger!
It is actually different from the Tiger version:
This one is a nice randomized collage of translucent album covers. No options (yet).
Mac OS 10.4's saver loads a bunch of art first, then tiles them all onscreen and flips them one at a time, each flip changes that tile to a new cover art. You get to pick how many rows there are, and a delay.

I like that this one works in Tiger as well, and loads faster! Plus, you get some wierd effects when an artist shows up on/through a different album cover...

However, I expected more from all album art savers, something in 3D (openGL?) with cubes or towers or flying art... but that is something to wish for in the future. So far, so good.

Version 1.3.2 finally has it: My custom columns are there! I always have to sort results by size to see what big items to get rid of... Apple could really learn from Houdah!
