I think the issue with the system not booting temporarily into Windows has been fixed with 10.6.3 for most pre-i5/i7 unibody MBPs and a few other machines from that time period. This has been an issue for a long time and one that I personally have experienced, but I am no longer seeing it on 10.6.3. If anyone else can confirm please let me know.
I bought it previously for my PowerMac, but redownloaded the new universal version for my MacBook, and ran through the quick defrag. Looks like it worked fine.
Tested this out with my MacBook being the server. Connected first from my G3 running 10.3.9, and that worked fine. Then I tested on 10.2.8, and it gave an AppleScript error during the install. I couldn't get System Preferences to see the prefpane, but was able to copy my preferences from my 10.3.9 partition and run the daemon manually, which did work. Up to this point I had been using my own AppleScript to start synergys/c on startup, but still had to set it up manually. SynergyKM really simplifies it (although it took me a while to figure it out - GUI is confusing).
