Like others before me, I must add that this is one of the best wordsearch app ever! I have used it to make great puzzles for years while I was a teacher. Not only is the developer wonderful about helping you, he's a really nice guy, too!

It boggles my mind that a company who cannot answer help questions posted because they have no one to do that, and cannot iron out bugs since version 7 has the audacity to charge $49.99 for an upgrade. Oh, and try to contact them if you purchased the wrong product like I did once... Good luck.

You need to know that if you have owned a previous copy, you have to purchase it NEW at the app store. I had to. The creators of this app said that the App Store makes it that way, yet many other software manufacturers are making sure that you can upgrade to the current version through them BEFORE having to pay.

Also, there is a thread on the Apple forums that DISPUTE the fact that Apple MAKES them follow that guideline.

I was not happy to repurchase the program and I think someone is not being honest here.

Now that American Greetings has purchased Webshots, it refuses to run my flash player. Says I need the "newest." So I contacted them and found out that they are NOT supporting any more downloads of Webshots currently. Here's what they supplied me:

"Hello,

Thank you for contacting Webshots Customer Support.

Unfortunately, our Webshots Desktop Software is not compatible with MACs at this time and our site no longer supports the wbz helper. In the future, this may change. However, I do apologize for any inconvenience that this has caused. If you don't have a
PC with which to use your Webshots membership, please let me know and I will process the cancellation of your membership for you."

Another site that does not care about Macs. Dumb. However, the wbz Helper STILL works as of 05/19/2010. For how long is anybody's guess.

I was a Webshots user for nearly 10 years. Very poor marketing strategy, IMO.

I can't get it to add cities either, BUT I was able to get this .plist file from my preferences on my laptop:

com.heat.meteo.plist

I had LOST all my cities on my desktop, but I imported this file to my desktop and replaced the .plist file already there, and I got all my cities back. Since they were the same on the laptop, it worked fine. Maybe this will help you.
