Most definitely there are free alternatives; however, nothing that replicates MacPilot entirely. Many of the free alternatives have some of the major features to tweak in Mac OS X, but not the over 1000 that MacPilot can :-) There is a complete comparison and breakdown on our wen site on the MacPilot page.

You're most definitely right. This is a "very light" version. We're not arguing that; however, when looking at other products in comparison, such as iTweax, MacPilot Lite still has numerous other features these products do not offer, not to mention, in our opinion, a much more appealing visual experience :)

Please do not be ridiculous. Additionally, please stop flaming our review page. You are welcome to do a binary comparison between the two products and confirm we did make changes. Additionally, to confirm the memory leak is fixed, go ahead and open the Character Map window numerous times in the old version and close it. You'll notice RAM is eaten. In the new version, this no longer happens.

Not everyone needs the complexity of the $19.95 edition of MacPilot. MacPilot Lite for $5 offers all of the features in iTweax, plus numerous other handy system commands from the full edition of MacPilot.

Parallels Desktop

Koingo Software had trouble on 09 Nov 2009

With WIndows Application sharing disabled, the program seems to remove any documents/aliases/folders from the right side of your Dock, claiming it's removing the Windows Application folder on launch (sometimes second launch). Has anyone found a fix for this?
