Might not be the prettiest FTP app out there, but don't be fooled. YummyFTP is still the best out there. Its the only FTP app that has SSH/SFTP commands such as changing owner/group, selecting folder and/or files to apply changes too, and more.
Looks great, too cute in fact. But within a few minutes, I found things that don't work right. For example, if you start a FTP session in a subfolder, you cannot browse backwards. Or, double-clicking a server doesn't connect it -- you have to find the "browse" button on the far opposite side of the workspace. Or SFTP support that does't allow you to change owner/group...
....ultimately, the cute factor wears thin quickly.
Even as "CSSedit 3.0" it falls short. For example, the split column view of navigator/properties is too small to be an effective browsing window.
I really want to like Espresso, but my conclusion is that I'd rather have CSSEdit back.
New version introduces ads as a "new feature." Whoa there. Gotta give me a better incentive than Facebook Chat (like say...I donno...a UI REDESIGN that is generally unobtrusive, follows Mac design guidelines and general design best practices).
thanks! So, I should prob just buy it from App store, right? Is there any difference between buying the app new from the App store, or an upgrade directly from BareBones? Will there be any issues with future upgrades if I buy the App Store version (its free upgrades through the App store, no?)
not thrilled with the "upgrade" pricing for 2.0, especially since a) I feel like a beta tester with v1.5's bugs b)there's not much new here to warrant a full price to upgrade.
Preorder? ha! After my last Aspyr disaster, no thanks! I'll wait for you poor folks to beta test for Aspyr first, then report back. No way are they getting my money again until the game is thoroughly vetted...
Seems like when you move messages from Inbox to another folder (label) in Gmail, it adds the additional label, so that the message will still exist in Inbox.
Which is different behavior than Mac Mail. When you move a message in Mac Mail, it removes the original label.
Does anyone now how to make Postbox's default drag-and-drop behavior a true "move?"
In this new version, how do you see your incoming, outgoing calls, if you clear your "recent" sidebar? It looks like there is no way to access history other than the "recent" sidebar. That's not good.
Fusion is telling me I have 3.0.1 build 215242 installed, and that version 3.0.1. build 215242 is available. Even if I download and install the update, the software update box still pops up.
The scrolling wheel behavior becomes erratic when I use Logitech's driver. Seems like if I change the acceleration or speed from the default settings (which are way too slow), the scrolling jumps up and down at any touch of the wheel. Anyone else know what's going on?
For a $80 mouse (MX1100) this is totally unacceptable. Thumbs down to Logitech's software division.
So I downloaded Reader so that I can markup and highlight portions of documents, EXCEPT, it seems that every PDF I have is protected against commenting. Even the PDF's that I created through OS X's print to PDF feature are protected against commenting.
Can anyone verify this? Or reccommend a way to remove security from unecrypted and non-password protected PDFs? Thanks!

The only thing it probably needs is a volume control, since it seems to be set to "100," making even low volumes loud on headphones.
