Google Chrome

Kenaroni reviewed on 17 Aug 2011
I would very much like to use Chrome fulltime instead of Firefox because it's definitely snappy, but a couple of things bother me: I can't stand to see all the Favicons in the Bookmarks bar and there's no way hide them. Also, there needs to be an option to make a tab come to the front when command clicking a link or opening link in new tab.

Yummy FTP

Kenaroni reviewed on 14 Jul 2011
I love Yummy FTP. Been using it every single day for a couple of years now. Used to be a longtime user of Transmit. Sound funny but one of my favorite features of Yummy FTP is being able to access the bookmark files themselves so I can change the icon of each. This helps break up the visual boredom in my bookmarks list.

iClipboard

Very slick and all, but I just want to mouseover the thing in the column that I want to paste, doubleclick it, and have it paste. I know you're supposed to click the "stamp" icon to paste items, but I don't like the icon bar that appears directly over the thing I want to paste, which completely obstructs my view.

Handy, I guess. But I always just click the Finder icon in the Dock to do this.

Adobe Flash Player
Kenaroni commented on 25 Jun 2008
I had to uninstall this and go back to Flash player 9. I had the same problem as JOSHP - website mp3 flash player not working right. I'd suggest staying away from this beta until the bugs are gone.

Perhaps you should not make assumptions about who I am and what I understand. I have been using Macs everyday of my life since since 1989, so take your expertise elsewhere.

Audion X
Kenaroni commented on 11 Dec 2007
As an alternative to iTunes, I still miss Audion. I wish someone would pick it up and run with it. I don't care about iPod compatibility or any other extras. It was simply a great & fun audio file and stream player. The choices of skins were so excellent. Last time I tried, it wouldn't work in OSX 10.4.

Hey cool, Audion works in 10.5 Leopard! It plays mp3 files and streams just fine. Now if it would only play AAC files too.

Dockables
Kenaroni commented on 11 Aug 2007
These are handy to have. And instead of putting the individual icons in the dock, I just changed the Dockables folder icon to something more interesting and put *that* in the dock. This makes them all accessible with a right-click.

Shredder Widget
Kenaroni commented on 10 May 2007
This is so fun! I want to delete files just to watch it shred and make that sound. Sure it takes longer than emptying the trash, but don't we all need a 1 minute break now & then?

Mental Case
Kenaroni commented on 18 Mar 2007
Wow, this is cool, very different, and fun to use. The icon is great too :)

If this had an option to use an iPod or a USB stick to store the data (instead of in your "library" or "documents"), you'd be onto something. As a daily multiple Mac user, I'd love such a thing.

While we're dreaming, I'd like to have an app like this that the ability to publish html pages to an FTP directory, which I could then password. Then I would have my own little database online!
