I installed 8 and and I wasn't ready to try the Genius Bar. So I clicked on hide Genius Bar. Bingo, Little Snitch tells me iTunes is trying to phone home.
Now I would understand if you using the Genius bar that connecting would be important, but why does it need to phone home to hide a side bar.
In fact if you don't allow it to phone home you can't close the side bar.
I used NamePicker quite frequently and was a little daughted when it was replaced by Divisilist. The developer was very responsive to my suggestions for restoring some of the simplicity of NamePicker and made changes. The program has both simple features (for my needs) and advanced features for those who want something a little more robust. Oh, and the price is right.
Tried the program with a large GEDCOM. Severe kernal panic ensued. I had to rebuild my directory. sigh. Maybe after a revisions I may try again to see if this program works
A great program which I have been loyally using for years, but the new restrictive licensing is terribly disappointing. Photoshop allows you to license 2 computers, not iView. If I want to have it on my desktop and laptop I have to purchase a second license. The upgrade from 2 is $129(65 % of regular price compared to 26% for CS2 upgrade). An additional license is $199 making a total of $328. Is this the way to treat long time customers. Shame on you iView Multimedia.
