Picasa

The GUI is horrible.

The learning curve is steep.

I hate it.

TypeIt4Me

Johninsapporo reviewed on 09 Jan 2012
This app has been around for ever and is one thing that has kept me on the Mac. There are several imitations around these days, but Typeit4Me is the best. I made my own shorthand language using this, with abbreviations for common words and phrases, with the result that I can type pretty much as fast as speech - and I'm NOT a good typist.

Riccardo is a great guy and responds to questions and suggestions.

This app makes it so easy to marshall your thoughts and plan out projects, add notes. make corrections, etc. It's superb.

It's fast, stable and does 90% of what I need from a Word Processor.

Excellent app.

Microsoft Office 2011

Johninsapporo reviewed on 16 Aug 2011
Since version 5.1, Word has sucked big time. It's slow, bloated, completely non-intuitive and unnecessarily complicated.

Instead of just adding features, Microsoft should think about what people want to use a word processor for and build their design about that.

This application looks like what it is, an application designed by a committee.

Apple Pages

Johninsapporo reviewed on 15 Aug 2011
Pages is excellent. It does most of what Appleworks used to do, but with countless enhancements. It's very easy to use and very easy to turn out polished professional looking documents.
