So after using the new public beta for a few hours, I'm very pleased. On my ancient 5-yr old PowerBook G4 1GHz, this thing screams compared to ver 3. Page loading and scrolling are way faster.
Tabs on top will take some getting used to, but as a web designer, I like the extra screen real estate for actual web pages! I don't mind the stop/reload button moved into the Address bar, as it matches the UI on the iPhone. I do like the Google search suggestions, but would like options to disable. The Top Sites feature is pretty, but a resource hog. I doubt I'll continue to use it on my old machine.
Requests:
1. Bring back the page load progress bar!
2. Auto-Close the Downloads window when all downloads finish. I had been using Glims to do this, but it's broken with the beta.
3. Built-in ad-blocking. Had been using Pithhelmet, but Safari AdBlock is working with the beta. If this were built-in, we'd be one step closer to eliminating the "nasty" InputManager hacks.
4. Make the Google search field resizable and give config options for how it behaves.
Love the widget, but can't get it to connect to my azureus machine when it runs anything above Azureus 2.4. With 2.5, it shows downloads, but no control buttons.
Hope the developer updates this great software soon!
Looks promising, but I cannot get it to play my Last.fm Library or Recommended stations. It only plays Last.HQ station (shows "Streaming Error"). Also, it won't stay visible - the window disappears when you click off of it. Since it uses WebKit, it's possible the Safari 4.0.1 release has frakked it up. Awaiting 1.0.2.
Apologies, the trouble I was having playing my library was not with SweetFM, but a block with LittleSnitch. SweetFM is working wonderfully, best Last.fm player out there! Only request right now is to have an option to keep the player visible all the time.

Overall, great update!
