The step command works well, but it badly needs a step back command as well. I tried to capture a frame in which a photographer's flash went off and it took me 20 minutes. If one uses the step command to go one frame too many there is not way to go back.
I also found that when moving from the step command to the play, sometimes the play only worked in jerky forward jumps. I had to completely stop the disc and then hit play to restore normal function.
