I prefer Bravobug's Milife diary app and am a big fan. very cute software, very fun to use, and a lot easier interface (IMO) than macjournal. i'd also recommend people check out Writeroom for regular writing / word processing. Milife and Writeroom both have fullscreen modes that are great for staying focused. they are my two main writing apps right now.
