I use to use 1Password and then I switched to Roboform for Mac because I really liked the windows version. Worked fine initially then I started having problems. Tech support was totally a waste. I have now reinstalled the latest version of 1 Password and it works great. Don't know what I was thinking of ever switching to something else.
Have had this installed for about a week. Really like it but I can't subscribe to some feeds. I put the website address in the subscribe box and it will say there are no feeds for this site. Or if I click the RSS icon on the same website, Pulp will pop up but will not subscribe to the feed. I have emailed support twice, with no answer. I am using Mac Lion.
For basic financial software, Quicken Essentials is excellent. I have tried iBank, See Finance, iFinance and a few others, and Quicken is definitely more mature. I don't need cutesy. I need basic account tracking and reconciliation, and Quicken is logical, user friendly and smooth as silk.
I have been using iBank4 for a week or so after previously using iBank3. I find it to be the best choice for replacing Quicken. I have tried iFinance, See Finance and Quicken Essentials and I found all very lacking. It goes without saying, Quicken Essentials was the worst. By the way, I chatted with a rep at Quicken and he told me that Quicken Essentials 2011 MAY be out sometime next year. That was enough for me to forget even looking at Quicken anymore.
I recently moved to the mac and previously was using Roboform for Windows. Now I use 1Password on my mac. It's pretty good but the accuracy of form filling and even username and password filling is not near as good as Roboform. 1Password frequently fills forms incorrectly or misses filling part of a form all together. Several times it has not asked if I would like to save my login information and it does not always fill credit card information accurately. It works ok most of the time but is definitely not a 5 star application. I hope it improves because Roboform for mac is supposed to come out in December.
See my review of Norton Internet Security for Mac under Norton Anti-Virus. NIS for mac includes Norton Firewall. Also, this is a very user friendly application. If you find it's not, you need to read the instructions.
