Postbox

Jagooah reviewed on 09 Feb 2010
I bought Postbox at version 1.0 to support the developers, but was initially very disappointed. The integration with OS X was nearly non existent. I stopped using it within days - especially as I use Spotlight constantly and Postbox emails did not show up: every time I searched for an email and clicked on the result, Apple Mail would launch. Very annoying.

This lasted up until 1.1.0. But with 1.1.1 EVERYTHING has changed for me. Integration with OS X is now very good - and I am sure it will improve even more over time. The combination of all the features of Postbox + the OS X integration makes it a killer product. Frankly, version 1.1.1 is misnamed: it should be at least version 1.5, if not version 2.0!

Well done Postbox developers for such an amazing upgrade - I am sure many long work hours went into it. Now, I hope you will concentrate on the eye candy a bit more: the interface still smacks of a Windows XP crossover.

To all power email users out there: give Postbox a try. It is leagues better than Thunderbird and Apple Mail.

Spanning Sync

Jagooah reviewed on 19 Mar 2007
Let's get one thing out of the way: the software works, and works well. HOWEVER, these guys are out of their mind when it comes to pricing... My recommendation: buy it for one year only, because you can bet anything that Apple and/or Google and/or third-parties will come out with a cheaper way to sync iCal with Gcal before your subscription runs out. And Spanning Sync will be out of business. Serves them well for pricing this software out of the roof.

Works as advertised: syncs your iCal @ Google calendar seamlessly! It's still in beta, but I haven't run into any problems.

A nifty little app that does exactly what it says it will, and does it well! Heartily recommended, whether you have a PPC or Intel Mac.

It's so good, I donated $10! I rarely give out my money, but I'm even thinking giving them another 10. Amazing IM program.

Delicious Library
Jagooah commented on 05 Dec 2004
This software is great. It'll be even greater once us Europeans can have full access to our local Amazon databases, but for a casual use, the US Amazon works pretty well.

My only question is: why doesn't Delicious Library use the CDDB database, as iTunes does?
