Did an excellent job sorting through roughly 100,000 of my Mac office files going back 20 odd years to delete double-spaces from then names of a couple of hundred. Solved a big problem with Dropbox for me as a result. This would have taken me hours. You won’t use this utility very often (probably) but when you need it, it’s going to save you a lot of time.
This application has been well worth its price to me. There are many pdf's that cross my desktop that I would like to be able to copy from, or do such things as insert bookmarks for my own future reference. This application has easily decrypted all of them to date because - to my surprise - most of these pdf's have been encrypted without passwords, so that the software can decrypt them very quickly. As a result, pdf's such as computer manuals are now easy to edit with bookmarks and comments using Acrobat. So I'm very happy with the results.
The current version of MacFamily Tree (5.3.7) now includes a better manual (though it could still be more comprehensive). And uploading to MobileMe now works perfectly. I'm very happy with this software - it has a bit of a learning curve with a little patience has me feeling very confident with it now, after a few days.
The documentation for MPEG Streamclip describes the program as a video converter, exporter, player, editor and downloader. It does all of those things well, one at a time or in batches, and for some reason, it's free. The best way I can describe it is that it does for video much of what Graphic Converter does for still images. A major thank you to the developers.
