Wonderful tool. I use this to help design AB Tests for my website. Just snap your current page, rearrange in Photoshop, then slice out the layers you need for the new test layout. Great time saver.
I love this app, use it all the time, but it needs an update for Lion. The masks generated for windows are off (as the shadows have changed in Lion) and the windows in the resulting PSD aren't positioned exactly like they are on screen.
Ah.... love it. Really helps optimize my support workflow. Maintaining a huge list of stock replies is a pain, and this app takes that pain away. Great work!
I've been using Snapz since I got my first Mac. It has been rock solid all along and is one of the first apps I install on a fresh system.
I know there's a lot of competition in this market, and infact I have a few other apps just for doing little things here and there, but Snapz is the only one I consistently use on a DAILY basis.
And if you have an older PPC based Mac (PowerBook, iMac, etc), this is the ONLY app that can capture video at a decent frame rate.
It took me a long time to figure this app out, so here's my analysis:
The real value this app provides is in the many modules which contain hundreds of domain specific questions to help direct a brain storming session. My favorite module is the Naming module, which helps you name companies, products, etc. Being a developer, naming is one of the hardest parts and biggest obstacles to getting a project moving the right direction.
Apart from the questions, the tools that aid the brainstorming session are helpful, but a little simplistic. You feed a word into the IdeaBrowser and it shows you images, quotes, lyrics, rhyming words, synonyms, etc. Helpful, but nothing you couldn't do with some Google searches.
Amazing app. I couldn't imagine doing AppleScript without it.
The single best feature for me is the ability to "Explore" applications instead of having to decipher the dictionary yourself. Once you find the AppleScript classes and properties you want, just drag those to the editor and get a correctly nested/referenced call. Cuts development time to a fraction. For me, this feature alone is worth the price of the app.
