GraphicConverter is such a terrific application that I couldn't work without it. I've been a user for a long time and it has become a staple in my toolbox. It's incredibly feature-rich and just works, period. I don't even use that high-end bloatware anymore. GC does everything I need. The author works hard to make sure it is kept up to date with new features as well.

Thorsten, thanks for making this a free update for users of v.7. It's a real treat!

Thoth was my first 'real' GUI newsreader when I came over to Macs many years ago. I loved it then, and I have to say that I'm really glad to see it resurrected. There are lots of choices now, but for good filtering and threading it was hard to beat Thoth. I'm glad to see it's gone Intel now too!

If you're looking for a way to catalogue your ebooks this is a really nice choice. I've tested it with quite a few formats in my collection and so far Ehon has handled them all without a hiccup. It inserts as much information from the file as it is able to and allows you to edit All the information. It has integrated readers for the formats as well, so you can read right with in the application. Finally it has a really attractive interface. It really does look good and keeps within the 'Mac' look and feel. It is quite quick in its imports and does a good job as far as I can see. There are other apps that can do this, and may have even more options, but they're slower and more complex (and not as good looking!). For my needs, Ehon fits the bill very nicely.

Like more and more apps out there, it is Intel only. Too bad.

(Yes, I know. Get with the times, right? Try to remember that a lot of us have PowerPC Macs that work just fine, some purchased just before Apple's Intel revolution, and they're quick and very, very functional. Not everyone upgrades every time something new comes out. There's a huge user base of PowerPC-based Macs out there, and people keep forgetting that...)

This looks like a great app, but do things really have to be Snow Leopard only? There are a lot of macs out there that aren't Intel, and people are going to continue using them without updating to the new system. Please, developers! Remember the bulk of users and make these backward compatible!
