There is an inordinate number of find-the-hidden-object games posted on MacUpdate. Are these actually popular? Am I missing something (no pun intended) by ignoring this whole genre?
It's been a while since I tried this. Glad to see that it can connect to RealVNC on Windows finally.
I prefer Full Screen VNC clients, as most of my systems run at the same resolution. But, once I entered Full Screen, the only way to "get out" was to Cmd-Tab to another app, and then click back on the Jolly connection dialog box. Is there another/easier way to close the current connection without doing that?
I'd also like to see support for folder-based playlists. Not many apps do this, but I'd like a player which just plays my Music Videos folder or my Home Movies folder, without me having to go add new files to the app/playlist all the time.
Reply to this if it's something you think can be included.
This could NOT have been easier to use! Not only does it let you combine/merge PDFs, but you can see the original filenames and page numbers, re-arrange them, preview pages, AND delete pages.
I assume Mail has to be running for this plugin to get its info?
Forgive my ignorance, but why not just look at the Dock? Why clutter the menubar with something that you should be able to get just by looking DOWN instead of UP?
Another terrific update for FolderGlance. Keep up the good work!
If for some reason you find that you have to work on Windows and really miss this functionality, check out KO Approach, Fake!, Fast Folders, and PowerDrawers. Of them, KO Approach is by far my favorite - and it's only at rev 0.2!
I have reviews and links posted at http://hypert.webhop.net/win/index.html?utilities. (I don't have any connection with those utilities; that's just a page of stuff I find useful, and thought others might too.)
Just upgraded to 8.0.1 on Mac OS X 10.4.11. Now, whenever iTunes is placed in the background (it's no longer the app in the foreground, but it's still partially visible), the entire window border goes from the normal brushed metal gray to a milky white. It's very distracting, as none of the other Apple windows do this (Safari, Finder, etc.).
Has anyone else seen this? Is this intentional, or a bug?
For some reason, I had to go back to an old copy of StuffIt Expander (version 9) to unstuff this SIT file. Kept giving me errors w/ SuffIt 10, and the resulting PKG file wouldn't run.

Why is it so hard to support 10.4 in apps?

File Tiger:usr:local:bin:phython wasn't found.
Well, /usr/local/bin/phython certainly does exist, although /usr/local is a symlink to somewhere else in my filesystem.
It does work is python itself is a symlink (i.e., python -> python2.5), but not if there's a symlink in the path to python.
Is there a way to support symlinks in the path?
Thanks!
