Best movie player on the Mac. It has played pretty much everything I've thrown at it with less CPU overhead than "other" players and plays nice with other system processes. I love it.
This is just cool. In 10 minutes I had Shareware Quake up and running in a Safari window. The documentation is a little meh, but if you understand the command line it has some serious potential.
I love this program! Upgraded my MBP to a 250 GB drive...no problem.
Restored my tower from a backup when the drive ate itself...no problem.
Allows incremental backups for my 72 year old mother who is not very computer literate...no problem.
It's simple and reliable and keeps getting faster with each iteration. Get it. You may not need it now, but I'm sure you'll need it sometime!
I tried Crossover Mac when it first came out, and was pretty impressed. Then they released Crossover Games and it is amazing. I can run Access (not my first choice of DB) perfectly smoothly, and this is the non-Office optimized version! I haven't tried 7.x yet, but I would be very surprised if it wasn't as polished. I have used Darwine, and for personal machines where I have the spare time to fiddle with it, it's fine. However for work machines, I prefer Crossover.
