Mr Messing, many thanks for your instant reply, which was exactly on the button.
I can only think that I was so intent on glaring angrily at the sudden and unexpected appearance of the Overflow icon in the Dock that I failed completely to notice the existence of the menu at the top of the screen. My silly mistake. It's good to have Overflow back in its usual indispensible role as a crucial app for me. Again, many thanks.
Dana Sutton, I have exactly the same issues regarding this update: no menu icon and no access to Preferences. If this was intentional on the developer's part it is a retrograde step -- a downgrade not an upgrade -- and in any event it would at least have been nice to have been forewarned. If, on the other hand, it's a bug/mistake, could we have it sorted out as soon as possible: an extra Dock item without the preferred option of accessing the program through a Menu item is not what I wanted when first bought Overflow two years ago, and I don't want it now, no matter how useful I have found the app to be (until now!).
Having bought this app when it first came out earlier this year, I agree with others here that the lack of an upgrade to us early buyers is an absolute insult. Am I going to shell out again after such a short period? No way. Bye bye Bento!
I bought this app a couple of months ago, and like it.
My one serious complaint is that I have found it impossible to get any help from the developer/distributor. Specifically, I have asked twice why Silkypix insists on identifying my raw (DNG) files as JPG files. It might well be that this is something I should know about but don't out of pig ignorance. But it would be nice to know. And in any event, a reply to someone who has stumped up the bucks for the apps would be a nice courtesy. Maybe you have to pay more for courtesy.
Further to my earlier point --- the document I cannot get a note attached to is a Safari html document saved on my desktop. (Just a page of readme text that accompanied a downloaded app.)
Perhaps Paperclip is not intended to deal with such things, in which case, apologies for my misconception.
Clicking on the Attach note line in the Menu Bar icon produces ... zilch.
Still interested in the idea, Still would pay the money for it ... But someone responsible for it has to make it a working, effecient, reliable piece of software.
(Incidentally, the purchase button does not lead to any web site that enables you to do the business. Hardly the sort of thing to induce confidence in any wouldbe buyer.)
I'd be interested in this -- and have tried it and retried it.
But for the life of me I can't really see how it's supposed to work, and the lack of even the most rudimentary guide from the developers doesn't help. Perhaps they think it's all very intuitive. Well, not for thickos like me it's not.
I've downloaded version 1.0, I'm ready to type all my license details ... But the app crashes on launch with the message:"Unable to connect to CheckUp agent"..
Have uninstalled and re-downloaded half a dozen times, with the same result.
Rather a let down, putting it very, very mildly

It DOES seem to work otherwise.

If all were made clear I'd gladly pay the price
