Plex

Amazing, been using this for the past couple months, find it the best most user friendly media center app. A must for anyone who wants an elegant solution for a media center.

XBMC

Not worth the hype unless you want to do 90% of the work yourself. I recommend checking out Plex, based off of XBMC but with some great additions. The separate media manager makes the app so much better.

NZBVortex

Simple, efficient and elegant, are the best ways to describe this app. I find it the most user friendly way to download with NZB files.

XBMC
Hike77 commented on 29 Oct 2010
I have to say, that I see why Plex and Boxee exist. They are both way better than XBMC, though based on XBMC. I have been using Plex for the past couple months and as far as usability it is years beyond XBMC. I know it wouldn't exist without XBMC so I am thankful for the app but it is not as elegant as other solutions. XBMC will always have more codecs if others are basing themselves off the code.
[Version 10.0-beta4]
