This is one of the best solutions for ripping DVDs on your mac, however I can't seem to get a response from the developer regarding a lost serial number for the product.
I used the tool to recover the lost serial number, and send four emails in the last 3 days regarding the above with no luck to any sort of response.
I disabled my spam filter all together, so I'm not sure what is preventing the developer from responding other than not responding... blast me to pieces all you want, but I think asking for help when it comes to retrieving lost serial numbers is not too much to ask especially when there is a tool on developers website (however doesn't seem to be working)
What an improvement to a boring finder experience... I actually like using finder again thanks to TotalFinder. Even though I used it for just a while, it made a huge difference in how I interact with my files/folders... I have one bone to pick as far as user experience --- Is there a way to have TotalFinder "allow" me to move its installed location to for instance "Utilities" folder? I tried moving it with username/password confirmation, but now I get a big fat no-no telling me that the install files must reside in the /Applications... Now fix the buying experience and I'm a customer!
I'd totally buy it, if it didn't ask me for my shipping address, and phone number when I select PayPal as a payment option... I'm tired of giving away my address and phone number just to receive more junk and phone calls. I don't know it just bugs me, otherwise a great piece of software.
I don't know about the seller, but with every purchase that I made using PayPal as a buyer I receive a confirmation which lists the sellers email address, and provides at times a physical address. Besides that, PayPal account is verified a bazillion times before you can actually use it, so when I'm asked to fill out that information again it seems not only redundant to, but suspicious. Please don't get me wrong, I wish I could buy your software, because I like what it does to my overall boring finder window... but I am quite turned off by the purchasing process that's all.
Im looking to replace the aging and no longer developed ByteController... and was quite unsuccessful until I found Synergy. Seems that not only you can customize the look and feel of the notifications, but also you get a lot of control when it comes to buttons (look, and spacing). There are plenty of buttons to select, with more available on the developers website. Seems at $5,6,7 or whatever the exchange rate is to a dollar this is a steal...
Good written instructions, easy to use. The addition of extracting audio in mp3 format is a treat. Developer also is easy to talk to, and responds very fast to any questions you may have. Highly recommended.
I use RipIt along with Mac DVDRipper Pro for my ripping needs. Between the two there is hardly a DVD I cannot rip. In the few cases of being unable to rip a DVD the situation is cleared up by the next update/version.
I use RipIt most often (even though some will argue that it is slower) because the polished interface and simplicity is what I'm looking for in an application.
I'm not sure if calling it HitAndMissRipper is fair, after all I hardly have a DVD I cannot rip. I usually rip 2-3 DVDs a week including new releases...
Love this program. Makes it so much easier to navigate around. I have one question though, is there a way to disable dock's application name bubble? Seems that it always sits under the hyperdock's bubble and bleeds.
Yea I could move the HyperDock up by XX amount of pixels, but I wanted to replicate what is in the screenshot here, HyperDock without the application name under the window... Sorry if I'm being difficult :)
