What's not entirely clear from the wording of this update is whether or not it's critical for an in-situ upgrade from 10.6.8 > 10.7 on an individual Mac, or is just for users physically moving to a Lion Mac from a Snow Leopard Mac.
I needed to find a quick way to change a plist setting (customer needed to change MS Office name), without having to install developer tools etc. This app did the job in a simple, straightforward manner. The developer is to be applauded.
Smooth update, no dramas here. Don't forget to force a backup of your phone in iTunes first before installing the update, in case you need to do a restore.
Note that the iPhone 3G is no longer supported with iOS 4.3. It remains at v4.2.1.
I've had to uninstall Reader X and re-install v9.4.1 as Reader X overrides my printer presets: it persists in printing in colour when the preset (for economic reasons) is black and white printing. Reverting to v9 fixes that.
Plus, attempting to make any changes in the convoluted Reader X printing prefs results in a 'no pages selected to print' error.
Plus, having the v9 simple search box right there just seems easier to use - for me, the new UI isn't intuitive.
This is a really useful app for me as I can add reminders on the fly. What would make this app even better is number of outstanding tasks badging on the menubar icon, so I can remember how many things I've got left to remember to do!
