This is a really nice program with some fairly innovative features. I know that just about everything in here has been done before, but never with such elegance and simplicity. A few things can be added, of course, but there's a "Provide Feedback…" option in the menu, so I expect to see many great things come of this software.
If you like this and you'd like to do something similar, check out Quartz Desktop. It allows you to put .qtz files on your desktop. This includes Apple screensavers such as the RSS Visualizer and Spectrum.
Excellent piece of software. It will likely become very useful now that QuickTime 7 no longer plays Shockwave files. Only feature I'd like to see is the ability to stretch the files to fill the screen in full screen mode, if that's possible. Excellent little utility.
While Keynote 2 might make this obsolete, there are still people who don't own iLife or who don't want to take the time to do the conversions that will use this program. However, they probably won't want to pay for it.
I, too, am receiving an invalid checksum error. Not sure what the deal is. I did manage to find out that you don't need this if you installed 10.3 cleanly, but I didn't, which is why it doesn't show up in every Software Update. And the software update download corrupts as well. Not sure what to do about that.
D. Rodrigo, if the Security Update does not exist for MacOS 10.1.5, that's because MacOS 10.1.5 does not suffer from the same security vulnerability that MacOS 10.2.6 does. So quit whining. 10.1.5 is fine. But you really should just get 10.2 anyway. Or else get 10.3 when it's available. You're wasting the power of your computer if you don't.
This is a pretty good program, but I was a little disappointed when it went shareware after the beta was over. Someone pointed out MenuMeters ( http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/10451 ) to me, which is free AND a preference pane, so you don't have to mess with having it load at login. Further, it adds a whole lot of additional monitors (CPU, RAM, etc.) you can use. Net Monitor may be prettier, but MenuMeters is far more functional for the cost.
Actually, this is the second release of this. There was another a year or so ago. If I'm not mistaken, this company now OWNS the copyrights, so there won't be any suing or pulling. Otherwise, it would have happened long ago.
