This program now installs something that runs at startup and then throughout the day checks for updates and pops up an alert message. There is no preference to turn off the alert. There's no way to tell it not to install the startup program
Recommendation: Do not buy, do not install, uninstall where already installed.
Lots of missing features here. A complete rewrite means that this is not on feature parity with versino 6.x. For one of many possible examples, the slideshow no longer does full screen. The feature and settings simply aren't there. For another, in the GC browser, you can no longer build previews for those images missing them. In facts, when you control-click / right-click on an image in the GC browser, most of the zillions of options and actions that used to be there are missing. I regret buying version 7.0 so early and I have gone back to the last version of 6.x for now.
The Macupdate Desktop app tries to update the Mozilla app http://prism.mozilla.com/ (which makes standalone apps from web sites) with the one shown here on this page. They have the same name but they are not the same. Perhaps there's another way to differentiate?
