When Quicken gave up on Lion, I tried all the rest of the money managers out there. Even paid for a couple before I found MoneyDance, which is darn close to perfect. I gladly bought this one, too, and deleted the others. A little quirky on imports at times, but reconciliation and other features are a breeze.
Yes, it's a little pricey, but get this: IT WORKS. It works beautifully, in fact, where others have failed. Seamless integration into the workflow. Now my Google contacts and calendar, my Apple address book and iCal and my Palm Pre are totally in sync.
SyncMate 2 worked OK for a few days. Then came the 3.0 upgrade and it totally trashed my iCal. Duplicated events and -- worse -- actually changed the day of several events (moving them back one day). Totally unusable in this state. Support was responsive but, in the end, useless.
Have requested a refund, but that's when communication ceased. I'd stay far away.
No, I do not work for a competing company. Yes, I do consider myself quite knowledgeable about the Mac.
