actually, I never experienced the "black&white icon" issue I see some users are reporting here.
For the rest, the apps does what it claims (or almost) and so far it's running quite smoothly and stable on my iMac.
If I don't rate it 5 stars it's because the preference item "Check for updates" is still not working, although this feature was claimed to be supported. Everytime I see a new release here on MU, I first try launching that command and everytime the reply is "You're using the latest available release" and few seconds after, if I go to Skype's site and download the software from there, I can see that actually I was *not* running the latest release. Would this glitch be fixed once for all, I'd rate this app 5 stars, based on my own experience (for what is worth).
I correct myself: of course I see the black icon in the menu bar, but this is another story and yes, I prefer that instead of the coloured one (but this is just a matter of taste)
The download link at the top of this page only yield to the Leopard version, it won't install if you're on Snow Leopard or Lion. To download the OS X 10.6+10.7 release, you have to go to the developer's site or follow this link
There's no point in paying for something which is already built-in in the Finder and in the OS X itself, with no real added value for the everyday user.
Rel. 2.21 doesn't work on PPC, although it's claimed to be universal. The previous release was working seamlessly (i'm on Leopard on a G5 iMac), but as soon as I downloaded this one... nope, I've lost my IRC client....
I confirm, the developer, in case of problems, reacts in "real time". I find pretty useful both the new Safari extension and the addition of the "Download" command in the main menu, this solves greatly a local issue on my iMac. Kudos to this young developer (and yes, 7.50 is absolutely worth not only for what this app does but mostly for the efficience and availability of the developer, it's a more-than-fair amount).
Sorry, guys, but this is not a "beta" but just a so-called "nightly-build". I'd expect finding on MacUpdate just "stable" or at least "official beta" releases, not intermediate development steps whose stability and reliability is not granted.
First time I tried installing this 1.1.13 on my iMac G5, OS 10.5.3 it didn't suceed (the installer exits with a message "impossible to install Growl on this computer").
I retried a few seconds after and this time apparently the installation succeeded. Is it normal? What could have happened?
Unfortunately, on PPC (G5) this application crashes when trying to Save a file after the processing. Additionally, it hangs when trying opening files with .jpg extension even if they are captured directly from the camera.
By the way, as an hitn for the future improvements: it would be definitely useful to have also a "Save As..." option rather than the plain "Save".

Thanks to the developer to keep supporting PPC users.
