Cocktail

I have used Cocktail since its very early days and have found it stable and easy to use and have never regretted my original purchase. I have also never had a problem with getting quick support from the developer whenever I had questions. I use Applejack if I need to run in single user mode but for routine tasks, Cocktail is great (I have not switched to Lion yet nor will I until I feel a need for it).

And no, I am not being paid to say this. I just like the app.

Vidconvert just keeps getting better. It allows a non techy with little video knowledge like me to get what i need done in a simple clear way. Personally, I could not care less what it calls ffmpeg if it does the job. The developer is courteous, no judgmental and quick to reply to my questions.

I was looking for a replacement for VisualHub which is sadly no longer alive. Vidconvert is simple to use, does what it says it will do and is very reasonably priced. The developer is very quick to reply on support issues.

I understand that this is aimed at greek speakers but I wish there was an english translation choice for the less educated (like me) and a clearer explanation of what type of greek music to expect other than a one word description. Right now its just pot luck.

I can't get the program to work at all on my ppc running OSX10.5.5. It says 'downloading' but nothing happens at all (could it be something to do with 'Little Snitch'?) or I get 'an error occurred!' message. its a shame because it would a useful thing to have, living far away from the BBC.

I also have been having trouble with FAP not activating fonts properly in CS4 Illustrator. I verified the fonts with the app and they appear to be OK in FAP but when activated do not show up in Illustrator's list of fonts. I miss Font Reserve!!
