I've been participating in the 3.0 beta, so I have some experience with the new version. I was a long-time user of the app prior to 3.0 and this update brings much of the functionality that I was looking for in earlier versions along with lots of great new stuff.
The developer was very responsive to the feedback of us beta testers, so I feel the 3.0 release is a very solid release, worthy of both the upgrade for existing users as well as a full license for new users.
Any hangups I had with pre-3.0 versions are gone. This is still a bit of an advanced app for the novice Mac user, but with a little bit of time and trial and error, any Mac user could start using this even just for some of the basic functions. Once you get more advanced, Hazel will keep up with you.
Having "current time" criteria as well as the new nested rules is a huge improvement and will streamline your rule setups immensely. Rule creation, preview and testing is much improved in this release.
One of my top must-have Mac apps just got better. Can't recommend this highly enough for automating stuff on your Mac.
@Sigil - contact the developer, he'll be sure to get back to you. That said, the new version will continue to do what you need, but you may find yourself using more of Hazel's features as I feel the rules are a bit easier to construct now. And you can always just hold off on the upgrade until compatibility forces you :)
Super handy to keep an eye on your email inbox for info junkies like myself. The Spam button itself is worth the install. I've gladly donated to the developer for this.
Love me some Growl. As an info junkie, you can't beat it. Highly configurable, and the companion apps for iPhone Howl and Prowl) for push notifications make it even better.
I'll gladly pony up for the 10.7 App Store release.
I have issues with the "open link in new window" command, just opens a new window in the background with the home page. Anyone else seeing this? I emailed the developer but got no reply to this issue.
Also, the contextual (right-click) menu seems to be missing some items such as "open image in new tab" etc. I feel like this version is a step down from the beta.
Anyone else seeing an issue where the downloaded torrent is named with the show name, not the actual file name and getting errors in Transmission when trying to add it?
I see this issue in Reeder for Mac as well. I've been in contact with developer, who said he was going to look into the scrolling situation with these apps, but that was a month or so ago. Hoping to see this addressed soon, as I use both apps quite a bit.

It's very odd that the two apps that I have issues with are both Twitter clients. It's probably just a coincidence.

Apple FaceTime
Otherwise launches OK, haven't given it a test yet for actual chatting.

Haven't played with it further since it rendered my Mac unusable until I was able to disable it.

I tried unplugging the tablet, but that didn't fix it for me so I wasn't sure what was wrong.
Thanks!

Needs ability to paste a screenshot that one has saved to the Clipboard.
Text editor needs to allow the text to be edited and to be able to move it.
Looks like it could be a handy little app though.
