Still works flawlessly to date (with Mac OS 10.4.7 PPC). Great open source app, whether you operate an own QTSS or want to export your play list in an elegant way. Cheers Trance Software!
Great tool. And I do appreciate the French localisation much (English, French, German and Japanese are available). The only things I would miss here, a way to access to the server log from the client, as well as indexing/ restarting the Wired-Server (Administrator only, of course).
Anyway, this is definitively perfect for my purpose: exchange project-related files & messages with colleagues/ other freelancers overseas and while I am on the road (For example, you can hardly send a 150MB file per eMail that easily, and you do save time not having to explain anyone how to...)
Many thanks Zanka Software, again, keep up the good job :-)
Up and running in no time, secure thanks to strong encryption and free. And well, it has been localised too (English, French, German and Japanese), and provides a fairly nice user management! Simply awesome.
Of course, this is no VPN but as a Mac only software (for the client side at least) this is perfect for my purpose: exchange project-related files & messages with colleagues/ other freelancers overseas and while I am on the road (For example, you can hardly send a 150MB file per eMail that easily, and you do save time not having to explain anyone how too...).
Running beautifully on a 350Mhz G3 with 256MB RAM (Headless "Blue & White"; Mac OS 10.4.7)
Many thanks Zanka Software :-)
Awesome, priceless, this piece of software simply rocks.
Heck among other more useful things, I can now even record TV using the DC30+ card (MJPEGA through an Alchemy TV PCI), while still working, a thing that would not even be possible using only a 466Mhz G4 (10.4.7)...
Thank you so much, and please, keep up the wonderful work.
Smultron rocks, there is no doubt about that.
And yes, the newer icons, those introduced with v.2 are, well, ugly. Thanks Forrestwalker(!), and many many thanks to Mr. Borg (and to every single person working on the app, i.e. for localisation)
Essential, works perfectly well, exactly as the previous version, but with a lovely addition, these new icons & the sound option (Growl support would be awesome too, whether as an add-on or as a replacement for those with quite little menu-bar space...) Running very happily on my 12" iBook G3 (10.4.7)
...basically, I could not agree more with previous poster Crucial.
As far as I am concerned, the issues I have:
- line breaks should be possible, right now longer lines are simply cut off
- text edit options are not those offered by other (Cocoa) programs, i.e. spelling or other text formatting options
While I am at it, these functions would greatly improve my use of the software too:
- print options for cards (Hipster PDA/ GTD like)
(- check boxes options)
- (French) localisation
Anyway, I use it daily (but print 6 on one is a waste of paper), and I am glad Mr Sagoo has made this app free (and Tofu as well).
Many thanks indeed, hopefully you soon have some time for us again.
A must have.
If I had a wish open, I would join Fossman's request from March 6th 2005 concerning the 7-zip/ 7z format. Or at least RAR with password protection?
Many thanks to the dev.
Very, very cool, even more since I can select the store I want to (France), but as far as I could tell, the German IMTS offers the same feature too...
Size is 0k for me, but I would not mind it smaller though. But should there be a feature I would wish to have, than a cache or a way to set up the update intervals (i.e. once a week).
And instead of "Click image for", "Cliquer sur la pochette pour le" or "Cliquer pour le" would be wonderful.
For me as well, this bug described (from "Anonymous") on July 7th 2005 remains: the XMenu icon still appears in the extreme right corner, behind the spotlight icon(!) on start-up if the option "display on left from menu extras" is unset.
And I use custom icons, most of which are not displayed as such (Some are, other appear as generic).
Awesome program otherwise, perfect for OS 9 refugees or those willing to keep the dock as free as possible.
A nice tool I would not want to miss.
