Fantastic app. The only video encoder I ever use. Great video quality, lots of options with useful presets for most modern devices. Great development team keep this project on the goal.

Used to work great, but version 2 crashes all the time. Every time you add a new download. Every time you scroll the list of downloads. Every time you do just about anything with it - it just hangs there with the spinning ball of death.
Of course Its just a bug, but its a showstopper, and its been there for months. Very slow response.
This products would deserve four stars or more if the showstopper bug was to be removed.

TuneUp

Fractalhorizon reviewed on 12 May 2010
Software does not feel like a mac application at all, has a very alien user interface - feels like a badly designed web site in a little window.

The 'Gold' paid version of TuneUp still contains advertisements (on by default in preferences), and turning them off does not seem to do much. Appears to be designed to advertise shown and sell tickets to you based on your library content as its primary function.

Updating cover art seems to treat every track in a compilation as a separate album, potentially assigning different art to every track in a compilation.

No way to scan cover art for selected albums

No undo/rollback for cover art assignment, only for tags.

Mangles comment fields by adding 'updated by TuneUp' by default.

The 'Gold' paid version can be only installed on one computer, this is only stated in smallprint when purchasing. One usually assumes that one computer means one computer at a time - but TuneUp can only be installed on one physical computer. If you buy a new computer and dispose of the old one, you will need to buy a new copy of this software (that is is you are crazy enough to repeat that experience.)

Not happy with my copy at all. About to go and manually change all mangled cover art in my compilations and remove the 'updated by TuneUp' comments. Waste of money.
