Focx had trouble on 15 Jan 2010

This is "trouble" on a high level ;) Adblocker is outstanding!

I wonder if there is any way to
a) fight text ads (eg. Facebook) and
b) recover the layout space taken by ads (Adblock on Firefox removes the element and leaves no empty space behind)
