Microsoft Office 2008

Oops, have recognized a little problem. Anyone have a friend working in the Mac BU at Microsoft?

After the 12.2.7 is installed. Microsoft Auto Update program has been updated to v2.3.1. Apparently, this version WILL NOT RUN in Tiger. (Leopard and Snow Leopard are not affected.)

So, said another way, once you install 12.2.7 update on TIger machine, you will no longer be able to check for or download later software updates.

Since the Auto Update component is the ONLY way to look for the next install, MS will have a bit of a challenge coming up with an "automatic" solution to this problem.

Adobe Drive
Fiveminutemac had trouble on 08 Aug 2011
Not sure if it's just my laptop, (MacBook Pro 15" running 10.6.8), but immediately after installing Adobe Drive v3, my CS4 programs began to crash on startup, (InDesign), or as soon as you tried to create a new file, or open an existing file, (Photoshop and Illustrator). Acrobat 9.x was not effected. I never checked the other CS4 Design Premium programs because I hardly use them. All other applications on this computer have no problems at all. ONLY these Adobe CS4 apps. I played with preferences to no avail. Tried another user account with same results. But, immediately after UNINSTALLING Adobe Drive 3, all of my Adobe apps were perfectly normal and stable again. Interested in seeing if anyone had a similar experience.
[Version 3.0.0.70]
