I definitely agree with AIKOUSHA's "one-trick-pony" comment.
I bought this thing because it seemed to work well, and it did... at first.
Now the "Number of downloads" prefs won't change, it doesn't always add things to iTunes (yes the option is selected) and it occasionally tries to download a wmv file which isn't actually there. Sometimes when I try to download something from YouTube it will download the flv AND some fictional wmv file with a huge name which includes what appears to be webpage display parameters... I think. Safari's Activity window shows no such file, so I have no idea what CosmoPod is mistaking for a wmv file. Then when it tries to download this phantom file, Safari slows and freezes, as does everything else running. I actially had to turn off the power to restart my Mac!
Oh, and iSquint makes better quality files as well.
For the most part, this app works great for converting flv (youtube) files into ipod compatible files. There is one issue, however.
It seems that if an flv file doesn't quite match the ipod's screen dimensions, iSquint makes up the difference with what appears to be rows of estimated pixels at the bottom of the display. It's like adding a poor quality water reflection at the bottom of the video.
Surely it should default to a letterbox format if the dimensions are slightly off, rather than sticking rows of unwanted fuzziness at the bottom of the screen?
The advanced options confuse me a bit, so does anyone know if it's possible to get iSquint to do this?
If all else fails, this app will most likely play a troublesome file. Unfortunately, it's about as stable as a papier mâché rocking chair. Crashes about 50% of the time on my iMac G5 (10.4.11).
Also, it would be great if you could tell it to stop giving error messages altogether.
I used to think Azureus was way to complicated, but after reading up on it and learning about things like port forwarding I've come to prefer it over the other osx torrent downloaders out there.
My only quibble is a few small bugs in the UI. The items in the menu bar up top (particularly the little frog) tend to stay selected even after you click off them, so you end up needing to click them again to deselect them. Also, selecting contextual menu items (right click) usually takes two tries to get them to work.
I wanted to leave a comment on the forums but I am unable to register. It's been over a week and I have not gotten any response to activate my account, despite multiple emails to the developer.
I wanted to ask why the sound effects for removing rows or 4x4 boxes were removed from the game?
In this new version the blocks disappear silently.
I think that was a bad decision and I'd like to ask the developers to consider putting those sounds effects back in.
Sorry for the double post, but I just installed this 2.2 update.
Now Safari crashes on startup, so I had to completely uninstall Cosmopod. The report says:
PID: 259
Thread: Unknown
Link (dyld) error:
Symbol not found: _method_setImplementation
Referenced from: /Library/InputManagers/CosmoPod/CosmoPod.bundle/Contents/MacOS/CosmoPod
Expected in: dynamic lookup
Anyone able to decipher that?
Anyway, get SafariStand to download your flv files (or use the Activity window for other file types) and convert them with iSquint. Both are free and they WORK!

Waste of money, even if it is cheap.

Startrail
My only suggestion is that you try to alter the graphics so that the cursor leaves behind more of a narrow trail than a series of wide bursts.
Capriccio
Anyone who thinks that it's reasonable to make a shareware mp3 player for Mac OSX needs to be slapped with a fish.

MoviesForMyPod/PSP/Phone
The PSP says the file produced is unplayable or not supported.
Please fix this!
Sharpshooter
Menubar icon is there, dropdown menu says it's watching for screenshots.
I take a screenshot, nothing happens.

Also, it would be great if it could remember which players were AI, out, or active after you quit.
