Would be nice if I can use it with Safari 4. Don't intend to upgrade until there is a Safari 5 compatible "keywurl"! Truly hate the iTunes redirect behaviour.
This is great. I don't recall another application that does this. (Andromeda Screens for Photoshop does some of its effects but purely in bitmap). I will definitely play with it more. Right now I am liking the generated harmonious colours, the grid and the random vector shapes I can further tweak in illustrator. Definitely a one-off and not "yet another mac application that does the same old thing"
For those who prefer a freeware backgammon game, there is GNUbg which can be installed by fink and run on X11. I have played David's BG but personally prefer GNUbg's gameplay. It has an invaluable analysis mode where it analyses all moves and dice throws. Last I checked, it ranks above 2000, way up there on FIBS (http://www.fibs.com/)
Extra $ for extra eye candy! Unless you need Jam or Blueray or extra jumping everywhere UI. I haven't come across anything that makes this a worthwhile upgrade. Still doesn't handle DVD subtitles. I am currently burning a DVD... The unnecessary animation is showing me a blurred image saying "preparing... 67% completed!" No clue if the burning/verifying is in progress or that Toast is preparing! Preparing what?
If you are trying to catalog stock photo discs that have a similar directory structure, like disk01/high_res, disk02/hig_res... IVMP forgets the original source and would systematically decide the most recent disc being the source for every item cataloged! A bug?!
Wish there is a way to know which action will require a restart for time when I don't want a cause a restart, like when I am away from the computer for 10 minutes. Playing mouse chasing over every action is counter productive
I wish there was less emphasis on the eyecandy aspect of this game. The game play UI seriously needs improvement.
Currently there is no way of knowing which tiles have already been discarded. With tiles going all over the place. It takes a lot of focus to figure out whose turn it really is. There is also no way of keeping score/point (bad discarder pays double, self-pick scoring etc). But my biggest complaint of all is that you have to set a fixed winning tile system (All pung, all chow) and stick to it, there is no concept of special hands for extra "fan" . These are what I think make the game of Mahjong unique and interesting.
All in all, thank you for making a great effort.
