It always has been a cool tool, but now with the adition of the (working) progress bar and the other improvements in the file type management it's just great.
I was used to Rucksack (archiver) cuz was easy and has a pretty UI but it cost some bucks and it's queue management sucks. I like how Keka doeas the compresion queue part (still can be inproved). And the best of all is + opensource, fact that i really love. =)
Now after the v1.0.2 the only thing which is still missing is some cute icons for the document types.
I love it, got tons of images for my last website optimized in some minutes automatically without any noticeable quality loss.
Just drag&drop images to the app window and it does the hard job for you, it let you take a break and eat a slice of pie or continue working without worrying for the monotone task of image optimization.
I don't know how many time it saved my life!!!
Hehe nah, well actually some... Anw, it really have almost any naming mode you can imagine, very stable, has nice features and it just works!. Still, the interface can be improved to get an extra "ease of use" feeling.
Great app, nice features also, but $20 bucks for a batch file re-namer is a bit overpriced, I feel in need to politely suggest to use the (free!) NameChanger from MRR Software instead (or some other alternative).
Font embedding on Mac is rubbish:
- Fonts embedded on a Mac don't display correctly
- Embedded fonts often don't show up in font menus
- When font embedding, the menu for select fonts in "Insert Font" window, dosn't even display half of all fonts i have installed, only some really common fonts like Arial, Trebuchent, Courier, Papyrus, Myriad, etc. bah!.
Also:
- Still no more than 1 undo.
- Still no support for svg, eps, ai, etc. vector formats.
