i would write a review but is seems the product is no longer available as listed. the $25 shareware version is available though. i'm only writing this because of what seems to be a ludicrous situation. firstly we are all pleased that people with the ability and resources continue to produce great software for our favorite platform, both commercial and free. We further understand the creation of sw is an ongoing process to improve the product. is there any product that is successful and complete at version 1.0? (i ask while surfing in safari 404 on mac os x 10.6.2)
it seems the developer became upset when someone criticized them on a site that 'tracks' new 'versions' of software (i prefer macupdate). the commenter noted some difficulties with, and misspellings in the ui. at this the dev took such great offense as to no longer offer the free version and has stopped allowing any sw through that other site. as an engineer and generally poor speller, allow me to empathize w all creators of solutions in every realm; you will NEVER make everyone happy. period. full stop. but you can't be so thin skinned and petulant as to not accept any criticism, especially if valid. (please don't retaliate against macupdate) i noticed the reviewer in question DID think the sw was a good idea and DID download it and try it and noted that it DID work and was trying (though semantically clumsily) to make suggestions for improvement. let me finish by asking, did you correct the spelling mistakes? clean up the ui? then well done all around.
i agree with many of the opinions given. safari had been running smoothly until i installed this debacle of a software package. as far as i can tell these are the things that are installed.
/Library/InputManagers/Plugin Kit Input Manager
~/Library/Plugin Engines
~/Library/Application Support/Safari Third Party Plug-ins
the first one requires authorization. here's what should be the 'go to ''s to the folders on your hard drive. copy and paste them in the 'menu:go > go to folder' dialog in the finder and hunt down the items mentioned above.
