1Password

Epgregoire reviewed on 13 May 2008
I don't ordinarily review apps unless something happens to make me change my mind and usually that's customer support - be it good or bad.

I contacted Agile because 1Password didn't behave properly anymore in the 2.6 iterations on one website I use frequently. Their response was swift, personal and solved my problem with an update within a few days.

Even before this quickly solved glitch, it was my favorite application. It ranks number one on my list of most useful utilities and if I had to buy only one, this would be it.

ForkLift
Epgregoire had trouble on 23 Nov 2010
Upgraded to 2.0 without a thought. Yes, I do own Transmit, yes I do own Pathfinder, but each has its own strengths and I recently rediscovered Forklift. Thought v2.0 would improve on Transmit and it does have the potential to do so but for a hitch: I can't reliably upload to my GoDaddy website. I get copy errors all the time (copy error: failed to connect to server); skipping will work for some files but then I have to figure out which ones were copies and which weren't.

Transmit behaved the same way after upgrading to 4.0, but deleting old Favorites and entering new ones resolved that. Alas, it doesn't seem to work this way with Forklift. Bummer, as I really want to like this one...

That did the trick! Thanks. I saw you were on the forums so I thought I'd comment here. I searched all over the preferences to change the number of concurrent downloads but didn't find it there... Ok, all up and running now and very happy with it!
