Unfortunately I can't get the application to run on Snow Leopard (10.6.2). I get the error message:
AppleScript Error
sh: sw_vers: command not found (127)
When trying to startup, and:
AppleScript Error
AppleEvent handler failed. (-10000)
After clicking through that. I loved older versions before I upgraded to Snow Leopard but can't find a solution for this.

Onyx is the only app that seems to have this problem, unfortunately. Previous versions haven't had it. Would be happy to fix it if I could find any solution posted, but apparently it's pretty uncommon, whatever it is.

This seems to be happening on all 10.6.2 installs that I can find.
From terminal:
sh /usr/bin/sw_vers
/usr/bin/sw_vers: /usr/bin/sw_vers: cannot execute binary file
If I run /usr/bin/sw_vers without preprending it with sh, though, I get:
/usr/bin/sw_vers
ProductName: Mac OS X
ProductVersion: 10.6.2
BuildVersion: 10C540
