OK - at startup, there's vert little memory use, but show the loupe a few times, and boy, does it start to hog...
When the loupe is visible, memory use rises, but it doesn't seem to fall back greacefully when 'idle' as far is i can see, staying with an average 'load' of around 500MB. It then seems to 'add' to that with subsequent uses, if that makes sens...
I reached over 1GB after just a few sessions...
I want to like this, and suppose at 59p I feel bad at complaining, but it's not really usable for me at the moment...
If the devs of this app want to see what a good audioplayer interface SHOULD look like they should nave a peek at Vox, which may not have all the cred of iZotope filters and such, but which scores on a very compact 'Mac friendly' interface.
Fidelia is a bit too 'in your face' without any good reason. The various 'views' available simply increase or decrease the size of the interface and if I'm being honest even on a 1900 x 1200 display the smallest is still too big. Sure, the sound is pretty good, but I was struggling to hear an improvement on Vox on my set up (not audiophile admittedly).
So, I'd say - give Fidelia a blast, but compare it against other players and make your own mind up. For me, I'm sticking with Vox for now...
I got this a few months ago via a MacZot promotion...initially, I didn't have a lot of luck with the OCR and sort of gave up on it, which was a shame as I really need a good OCR package.
Fired it up again today and downloaded the 1.5 update and it's like a completely different app - the OCR works brilliantly on direct scans as well as on images from a digital camera - I've not checked tethering as yet, but direct imports from the card are a really useful feature.
I've tried throwing all sorts of poor quality scans, wonky images and mixes of text and graphics at it and the hit rate is really impressive.
I'm not sure what's been done under the bonnet to give this improvement, but I can now wholeheartedly recommend Prizmo...
I love this app. I was waiting for USB Overdrive or Steermouse to get support for the Magic Mouse just so I could speed up tracking, and had been using Mouse Zoom, but this sorts the tracking problem out as well as providing some great additional features. Well worth the download as long as you don't try to get too carried away with the various clicks & taps...swipes are coming in a future release, but for now, this is a great app...!
Seems like the YouTube search function isn't working? The URL created seems OK and works in other browsers, but nothing appears in the iTube Grabber window.
Always worked perfectly for me through all the various versions of OS X and the app...suddenly tho' I'm having problems even launching iTubeX - version 9 on OS X 10.7.1 - I'm sure it's worked with this version before but now it crashes on launch:

Thanks to Joris who responded and identified the problem very quickly - an update to the latest version of AirFoil fixed the crashes ... Excellent support and a great app...!

"As far as we know, it usually happens when one uses the biggest - or one smaller - loupe with a magnification of 150%"
Stick to lower sized loupes, or a magnification other than 150% and things seem much more stable...
