I will make a review based on my needs and on my user experience and knowledge.
Pros:
- value (freeware)
Cons:
- X11
- GUI
- Color modes
- Brushes (try to draw or paint something)!! BAD
- Text input
- Unintuitive (edit a brush is a pain)
I've not tested it hardly, for sure there are a lot of things that doesn't feet on my needs, these are just a few of them!
I respect developers, who try to bring us these kind of softwares (freewares) but on the most of these apps I find the lack of features and it looks like an unfinished work.
Who needs to work on image editing professionally GIMP will not be the right tool.
While my default and favourite browser is Safari I'll choose Chrome or Chromium for second place. The new user profiles is a good feature, something that I was thinking about two months ago.
However I have some concerns about these Google products.
Google is known by their beta products, never finished projects, well… It seems that they don't have balls… but this browser is OK!
One thing that I miss in all browsers, appart from Safari, is the ability to download any kind of media from a website without plug-in/extension installations! Is that so hard to develop?
Yeah! Bring us Netscape Navigator please! I can say that I have almost all browsers installed on my system and Firefox is the worst.
I'm using Safari as my default browser and Chrome as a second option.
Well, Firefox is an heavy application. Too much time to load. However it became fast in it's last releases but it stills slow.
So people, stop rating Firefox with one star.
Well! After all I have to agree with ALGOS but I do understand all points of view. I'm a Safari user, I don't want any fight here. I do prefer Safari for its integrity (of course), stability, speed, etc. but I that's my reality. For me Firefox it's slow when opening, slowest than Safari loading pages, I do not dislike its GUI, even a non OS X look like and it has some glitches I don't appreciate but it is a good web browser, not the best.
Now, one thing I don't like is the fact that everytime we have an update it corrects serious security issues, some can say it's normal but it's in fact a big problem.
For all of you with problems.
I know this is not the answer to our problems but we have to move before them, sometimes… So, we have alternatives to VLC, like MPlayer. (:
Now it doesn't work properly with the Final Cut Studio integration. Soundtrack Pro will crash after sending a Multitrack from Final Cut. With the BlackMagic unlugged it works fine. Any tip to solve this problem?
Thanks in advance
