Unfortunately this software doesn't work well. The Final Vinyl software came with my iMic.
I kept getting “Unexpectedly Quit” dialog boxes. After reinstalling a fresh download from the Griffin website, I was able to get one complete recording (from tape) accomplished. I then came up with the same problem again.
The Magnification (Cue + and -) did not work; therefore, I was not able to accurately remove portions of recorded files.
Saving files would seem easy, but this was also very cumbersome. Accessing the saved files to then edit was just as awkward.
I understand this is free software, and limitations are plainly outlined in the Tutorial, but my hope was that this basic program could achieve my basic transfer requirements. This was not the case.
Fortunately, I had the time to try and make sense of it all. Some people don't have this luxury. As they say… nothing tried, nothing gained.
