Wow -- Burn Version 2.4.1u (22) is a total lifesaver for me on a Tiger 10.4.11 ppc g5 and I am very grateful for the developers who made this simple but extremely terrific app.
Here's why: all my burn tools have recently gone completely wacko including Toast Titanium, PathFinder and most especially the flaked out now-completely unstable and flaky Finder -- although both Finder & Toast have worked okay previously. But starting in recent weeks, all three have started to freeze, stall, unending spinning beach balls -- I have wasted several blank DVDs and hours upon hours unsuccessfully trying to fix the problems (with all the usual tools and reinstalls) -- I am now even encountering problems with Finder to create/modify/add to/list contents for a simple burn folder. Until now.
Hooray for Burn Version 2.4.1u (22)! It worked flawlessly (so far)!
[Again, this is on a ppc G5 using Mac OS X 10.4.11 Tiger -- others may have different experiences. I'm gonna try it on an older 10.3.9 Panter g3 imac soon and will try to remember to report back re: that experience.]
again: My super muchas gracias thanks to the developers
Just an added note: Burn can seem to be a little slow and might show not responding in Activity Monitor for a bit, but so far for me it always comes through, just be a little patient.
V.4 won't work in Safari 2 -- unfortunately I need to downgrade to Version 3 again because we keep getting this error message:
Safari 2.0.4 (v419.3) has not been tested with the plugin ForgetMeNot 4.0 (v8). As a precaution, it has not been loaded. Please contact the plugin developer for further information.
Anyone know where the earlier version can be obtained?
the stupid countdown / splash window must be at the very front or it continually re-starts the shareware reminder 'countdown' before you can even try it.
bad idea. who cares to even try it after that annoyance. especially when there are better cheaper or better more features for the same price
Domino 5.0 not working. does nothing. opens & big black box -- no responses to clicking anything . nothing happens. zip zero zilch. no support at site -- are there known incompatibilities?
clicking the X in the big black box doesn't quit/close the app either
at their website you can't reach them because their crappy contact form submission doesn't work either
Nothing against inquisitor but I prefer acidsearch (pozytron.com) because it meets my needs better. example: "Google this Site" is part of the pull down menu.
if inquisitor had that and some of the more straightforward features of acid search then it would be more useful/efficient.
As it is now, for me and my search patterns, AcidSearch just seems snappier and more efficient.
UPDATE: got it working -- sort of -- it hangs on a regular basis AND it adds multiple copies (like FIVE) of itself to the log-in / startup items in the accounts system preferences.
dangit -- what's up w/that? wish this were a better program -- like i said, good idea, but BUGGY

What has not worked well for me: Speed Download.
SiteSucker used to be great but now not so much because hasn't stayed up with OS X upgrades.
