This new version does nothing to address the (endless) spinning-beach-ball issues impacting our users, and impacting many users in many other environments.

Of coures the Outlook 2011 text wrap issue is still not resolved.

I guess it's true, Microsoft will only address issues when a huge spotlight is shined on them. They continue to show they're strictly in this for the money and don't give a cr@p about their reputation.

@Younkint We've reported this to our Microsoft account rep. As a 110,000 strong outsource firm we've got a bit of influence, well at least on the Wintel side. In any case we don't use consumer methods of communication to report issues to Microsoft. I post here so folks get feedback based on large enterprise environments. Thanks for the advice though.
I know Microsoft developers have got'a eat too, but how about addressing the SLOOOOWWWWW launch times for Excel? It's rediculously annoying to all our users.
We had problems trying to upgrade users from 4.1.7 to 4.1.8, where users wanted to run the "Check for updates" menu option. The update would download but fail during install (with Transmit not running). The fix was to manually download the update and apply.
Still 5 stars...no other FTP client is as easy to set up, use, deploy and support.
Who's the genius who embedded a script that prompts the user? Thanks for making this update undeployable. The incredible lack of management oversight on the development side continues.

Subject: Microsoft Office 2011 SP 2 Database upgrade woes
Service Pack 2 (SP2) will upgrade the Outlook Identity. We are seeing reports about bad upgrades and/or lost data after upgrading.
Be sure to backup the Identity and the Microsoft Office folder prior to updating to SP2!
One user reported the following:
After the auto updater updated my Office 2011 mac version to 14.2.0, my outlook identity said that it needed to upgrade (after the re-boot). The upgrade fails saying that the identity needs to be repaired. The Database repair utility fails saying that the database is from an older version and I need to use the older version of the repair utility.

Why does Chrome not have an intelligent "Check for updates" function? Firefox can check for updates, download in the background, and prompt you to update...how ya like it now, Google?
