Lockngo

Don-B reviewed on 17 Feb 2010
We have been using this app on Windows for 4 years now (don't laugh, we are forced to use windows the office). We have many licenses. I can tell you that this app saved our asses several times in the past when we lost flash drives at customer sites.

The new Mac version is amazing as it suddenly lets us mac users lock our drives in the office (using the .exe file) and unlock at home using the mac app.

I think that user 'NOMAD' above simply did not get it. The exe file is the whole shabang. Dude, these guys let you get off the Mac island and use your locked files anywhere - wake up.

Great software, highly recommended.

A great start, but without FF similar plugin arsenal, it will not pick up in the professional community.

Skype

Don-B reviewed on 17 Feb 2010
Well, it seems that there is not much left to say about Skype. But there are things Skype team needs to take into strong consideration for their next versions:

Usability, multiple windows messy UI.
I am a heavy skype user. it has great sound quality and lets me transfer files (where adium fails...). BUT, I hate using it. Its simply takes too much of my brain CPU just to handle all the different windows it opens when you have a chat, voice and file transfer going on.

Try looking for the chat option while in voice call. It's not there. It's in another window that is way behind. Why??

Try entering a phone number to the window. Its soooo complicated!

1Password

Great app. Can't live without it.

There is a problem though with their licensing. It keeps bugging me to enter registration code on a purchased copy and it makes me crazy. I heard about this problem from friends as well.

1Password guys, if you are listening, please make the licensing and upgrade dialogs less aggressive.
