MPEG Streamclip

I've started watching all my movies in MPEG Streamclip fullscreen just in case i decide to export a little snippet on a whim. Thankyou! Adding Perian to the mix enabled avi xvid playback and export.

Perian instantly fixed AVI white screen playback. Free and brilliant simple multi format video editing and conversion in combo with MPEG Streamclip http://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/15466/mpeg-streamclip beats paying for Quicktime Pro :)

XLD failed to convert a wav file i copied from my creative voice recorder. XLD also failed to convert my m4v quicktime copies of these recordings. It just produced noise. Adapter.app did the job and is free too.

Adapter succeeded where many others failed to convert a wav file from my creative audio recording into an mp3. Sounds simple enough but quicktime, garageband and many other free audio video apps couldn't do it. Adapter has a broad range of video audio and image formats to go between. I'm impressed.

All2MP3 failed to convert a wav file i copied from my creative voice recorder. All2MP3 also failed to convert my m4v quicktime copies of these recordings. It just produced 0 kb mp3 files. Adapter.app did the job and is free too.

Install will fail with 'permission denied' unless you login with the admin account on your mac and install plone with full permissions to the Applications folder.
