Got this a while back from a promo (from Macbuzzer). I like it overall, but it's slow, and the UI effects / animations seem like they'd be nice, but they're choppy and unattractive because of this. Fix that and I'd give it a better review.
Also wow, $34.50? Hell, I'm glad I got this for free, because there's no way I'd pay that much for this. Overpriced for what it does, IMO.
I'd consider buying this if it could recognize barcodes the same way Delicious Library does. DL is fast and works just fine with built-in iSights; why shouldn't this?
I asked the dev about this on the project's forum on SourceForge. He can't support it anymore, apparently; anyone who wants to take over for him can contact him there, apparently.
Heh, haven't tried their stuff before. I just notice their stuff on here from time to time, such as 'Carry on Farming' which has an obvious Yoshi ripoff in it.
Far beyond any other piano instruments out there, and well worth the money (the Play version, which is scaled down for people who don't need so many controls and want to focus more on the music itself, costs €99 or about $130). Something I'll definitely get a lot of use out of, and already have; I threw out all my sampled pianos and such after getting this, saving disk space.
It's worth noting that there is one other physically-modelled piano software out there, 4Front's TruePianos. Having tried it before, I can say that Pianoteq is most certainly more realistic than it or any other piano I've used, sampled or otherwise (TruePianos, in particular, has an annoying tinny sound to the higher notes, which sounds very artificial).
Hats off to Modartt for this excellent piece of software.
The MU-provided short description for this app is inaccurate; it does not 'turn scenes into episodes' but rename scene releases of TV shows and the like, so that the filenames are more intuitive and not filled with information about the format and release group, separated by full stops.
I'm aware that the MU admins write those themselves; they're pretty good about reading comments though, and I can see that they've already fixed this one now.
On opening the new version 7, I am greeted by a lovely box informing me that "an error of type 0 has occurred" with the explanation "Unknown Error". I suppose an interface with only one window, two lines of text, and only one button (OK) is pretty intuitive and easy to use, but it certainly doesn't let me do much.
Oh, I forgot to mention: the application stays open after this happens, and will indeed perform all the other functions it has except the ones it's specifically made to perform. The about box, preferences, etc. can be opened, but attempting to create a new timer from the menu or keyboard results in the same error message.
Broken on Mac OS X 10.6, even with QuickTime 7 installed. Clicking play causes the video to move for a split second, the audio to play a bit more, and then everything stops.
The UI in the screenshot looks nice. Too bad I can't get past the "No warranty" dialog. Click OK, the app hangs for a couple seconds and crashes. Mac OS X 10.5.8, running on an iBook G4 (because I'm cheap like that, or maybe I just don't want to spend money on a new laptop. Whatever.)
